What makes Access Together special
For a long time, I thought access was something I had to figure out on my own — that I just needed to adapt and keep pushing through. Until the first time someone asked me if I had any access needs; I was 21, and that question completely changed my life.
Through Access Together, I work with festivals, creative teams and educators to embed accessibility into everything they do — not as an afterthought, but as part of the design.
Whether it’s a field, a classroom or a conference hall, I believe every space can and should be reimagined to welcome everyone.
My approach is person-centred, creative and collaborative. I listen, I learn, I adapt. I believe that real change happens when people feel safe, valued and included — and that access doesn’t have to be complicated to be powerful.

The Access Together way
Every organisation is different, so I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. My work is person-centred, meaning I focus on the real experiences of the people in your team, audience, or community.
Together we'll explore how accessibility can be embedded across your organisation - and we'll guide your team through practical, achievable changes that lead to a lasting impact.
Here’s what you can always expect when we work together:
A safe, supportive space to ask questions and learn
Practical, realistic advice — no jargon, no guilt
Collaborative sessions where ideas grow from both sides
Clear next steps you can actually implement
The Impact
When teams embed accessibility into their everyday work, something powerful happens: people start to feel confident. Events run smoother. Communication improves. Everyone — staff, performers, audiences — feels like they belong.
As one festival team put it:
“After the session, staff reported greater confidence and clarity when supporting d/Deaf learners, improving day-to-day communication and inclusion.”

A Little More About Me
“Being disabled is the one minority you can become a part of at any given moment.”
I was born hearing, but I became Deaf when I was 6 years old. I wasn’t ill, there was no loud noise or anything — my world just suddenly got a lot quieter, and we still don’t know why.
I wouldn’t change it for a thing though. I’m now proudly part of the Deaf community, have made some truly incredible friends, and have so much more understanding of access barriers to top it all off.
As a person I've always been drawn to others — to their energy, shared connection, and the magic that happens when a room (or a field!) comes alive.
Those moments - full of connection, creativity and joy - remind me what access is really about: making sure everyone can share in that joy.
Because when we all come together, access can shine.

What Our Clients Say

“Since Freya joined us at Glastonbury (2024) for our very first ‘Levelling the Field’ pilot, she has been nothing short of exceptional.
She is completely dedicated to making accessibility her life’s priority and improving it for everyone around her.
Since our first meeting, Freya has continued to support us and has become an integral part of the team. Her expert knowledge, lived experience, and genuine kindness shine through in everything she does. I feel truly fortunate to listen, learn, and work alongside her on a regular basis.

Client Testimonial
“Access Together's training was a perfect balance of educational, engaging and insightful giving an authentic and interactive perspective of lived experience of being deaf - notably the chance to try on hearing aids was a revelation. A well organised and professional session that I'd recommend to anyone, whatever their level of experience.”
Dan Tsu, Off Yellow Radio
Client Testimonial
“Despite having worked in education for almost 30 years, I've had little contact with or training about the needs & realities of people with any type of hearing difficulty. The style and content of your session gave me - from very early on in the session - a lived experience of hearing difficulty which really set the context for what followed next - ways of shaping & enhancing the classroom space & learning experience, and the joys (and challenges) of learning & communicating with sign language.”
